Destiny Reflection

Destiny Reflection is a non-profit organization that offers alternative employment opportunities to survivors of sex trafficking, and girls and women who are at risk of being trafficked. Over a dozen women train and work as artisans in Kolkata, India, creating exquisite handmade fashion accessories that can compete in the global market. Women at Destiny Reflection receive literacy training and English lessons and learn how to use computers. Poverty makes women vulnerable to being trafficked, so Destiny Reflection equips its artisans with the necessary skills and assistance needed to maintain financial security. The organization also operates a project in the Sunderbans in West Bengal, which includes a children’s education program, women’s vocational training, and medical and nutritional care.
