These beautiful handcrafted catch all bowls are created by local and refugee artisans in Burkina Faso. The bronze, copper and aluminum interior has been hammered, filled and polished by hand before being covered by traditionally tanned leather on the outer side of the bowl. Perfect for holding your jewelry or precious pieces, each color and size is an artistic addition to any home.

Please note: As these bowls are made of natural materials, each item varies slightly in texture and color. Leather should be cared for with leather care lotion or cream that is wax-free.

Design For Peace // Burkina Faso

Design for Peace, led by Afrika Tiss and supported by UNHCR, is the project giving local artisans and refugees in Burkina Faso an opportunity to collaborate with Parisian designers. Many artisans involved in the project are displaced Malian people in refugee camps in Burkina Faso, who are learning to design, hand-make, share and become self-reliant in this project through traditional metalwork and leatherwork techniques.
